Previous article: It’s the first!
I’m writing this article with a lot of late compared to my French’s posts. But I’m doing it now, so it’s ok ^^.
So, my pen name is Péléane Léana, I am a French writer and I arrived in Calgary-Canada 7 months ago. After a little time to adapting me in the English language, I started translating my stories into English, and then working entirely in English. I have been published in previous publishing houses in France with 3 short stories in 2014 and 2015.
Since July, I have written my first big novel Leucosie, the white mermaid and a short second one Between the lines. The first is only written in French and the second is entirely translated into English, which I’m so proud of!
I have, for now, one more idea for a big novel, Apocalyptic genre. I’m excited to write this one which is going to be complicated given that I want to pay tribute to someone. So it will be a big challenge.
I also wrote a lot of short stories in French, English or both. I participate in writers circle group or other groups at the Calgary central library. And I love taking part to many challenges like NYC Midnight.
I write articles for all categories, they will arrive over the days, sorry for the wait.
My presentation is now finished, I can move on the real objective of this category : writing about what I’m currently doing and my moods ^^.
Right now I’m trying to transform my old blog into a nicer, simpler and more professional website. It’s long, it’s very difficult, but I’m proud of what I produce. I really want to get back to writing but I want to finish that before.
After, I plan to write a short story for a « call for text » from a French publishing house. The theme is Sci-fy with Music. I have 2 ideas and I don’t know if I’m going to write both or just one. I only hope to write something because I definitely want to participe in this competition. The deadline is April 2024, I have times, but I prefer to write these short stories before starting a new major novel.
But before that, and probably at the same time, I want to write all the articles that are missing in all categories in English. And there are many ! Too much ! I’m scared and it’s a little complicated for me but I want to do that! I want to have a lot of things to present to you, so I work a lot on it every day.
Since I started this new website and write in English every day, I also start thinking in English. I love it and I tell myself that I have to do more to be better in this language ^^. And maybe my writings will be better too.
So yes, for the moment, I’m tired and I want to write novels or short stories, but I need to be a little more focused on my website before I start writing again for real.
