Previous article: Leucosie, my first French novel

I’ve been working on my new website for 2 full weeks. I’ve finished creating the new design, I’m waiting for the new logo, and I’ve written tons of articles in advance. 28 to be more precise which will be published gradually and more than 7 already published. There are a lot of articles in English since I only wrote in French before, so I had to catch up on that and it’s good, I succeeded!
I’m quite happy with this new site, it’s what I wanted and I hope you like it too.
I gave myself a little Christmas present, a domain name. My site is no longer just visionlivre.wordpress.com which still exists, but visionlivre.net. Shorter, clearer, more readable and I hope also a little more visible.
At the same time, I had two ideas for novels coming up. I just wrote the basics but didn’t go any further. Above all, I wanted to finish building the website and have all the articles I planned to write in advance. So now that that’s done, I’ll definitely be able to move on to one of these novels.

The first idea came to me while reading Chicken Soup for the Military Wife’s Soul by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Charles Preston, and Cindy Pedersen. The book will be a collection of short stories in which Between the Lines will be integrated. I’ve already scribbled down all the basic ideas I had, including the main topics of the short stories I want to write there. I’m waiting to sort through them and maybe find some more. In any case, I don’t think I’ll use all the ideas I’ve had, we’ll see when I get there. The genre will be the same as for Between the Lines, contemporary with difficult current affairs subjects.
The second idea came to me in the middle of the night, at 5 a.m. My brain forced me to get up to write the beginning of his story and when I finished it didn’t want me to go back to sleep. Anyway, sometimes I hate my brain.
The novel will be Sci-Fi, perhaps Anticipation, frankly I don’t really know what to call it yet because it hasn’t quite come together 100% in my head. At first I thought it would just be a short story or Novella. Eventually, I realized how this was a much longer and bigger story than I thought and one that made me see its potential every time I thought about it. From a main character I have three, from a story with a single subject I also have three. The world is taking shape more and more as the days go by and my big problem is that I don’t want to think about it too much at the moment, so I haven’t noticed anything since the first night when I should have. I know I’m going to forget things but I’m stubborn and I want to finish my website first before launching into it. And since we’re in the middle of the holiday season and I’m on a little break/vacation for a week, I’ll probably wait until the new year to start.
For now, I’m taking a break from writing, which doesn’t hurt after working like I have for the last six months, finishing building the site, and I have ideas for novels that are very present. As a result, my apocalyptic novel which has been patiently waiting for me to write it for years will wait again. I’m thinking of writing these other two before him. Good, by then I will have more writing experience and maybe that will make it a better novel ^^. Before January 1, 2024, I will still work a little by correcting my short story Les Stupides one last time because I will submit it for submission from this date, so I want it to be well checked before sending it to the slaughterhouse ^^.
I wish you all happy holidays and a wonderful year 2024, hoping that it brings you lots of happiness!
